Based in Vancouver, Canada, Arshia Sobhan is a versatile researcher/artist with over 15 years of experience in the creative industry. His career is marked by an enduring curiosity and a profound appreciation for science, which inspired him to earn a BSc in Physics. Arshia's academic journey then led him to OCAD University, where he pursued a Master of Design in Digital Futures, focusing on integrating modern technology with calligraphic Arabic script — his true passion. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at Simon Fraser University's School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT). His work delves into the exciting realm where non-Western art practices intersect with generative AI, opening up novel creative avenues.
