Ensemble

Ensemble is a nine-piece audio-visual collection that reimagines the Persian calligraphic tradition of siyah-mashq through a generative AI model trained on over 60,000 custom calligraphic samples. In contrast to the aesthetic flattening of commercial AI systems, this work embraces a slow, intentional process that centers cultural specificity and visual knowledge. Fluid calligraphic forms unfold in looping motion alongside immersive soundscapes, offering a contemplative space where technology and tradition meet—not in rupture, but in dialogue.
